The Role

We are looking for a hungry, detail-oriented Junior Full-Stack Engineer to join our founding engineering team. Under the guidance of our Senior Tech Lead, you will help build the core features of the Dovo Metabolic Care mobile application. This is a high-growth role where you will get hands-on experience building secure, scalable health-tech architecture from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobile Development: Assist in building responsive, user-friendly mobile interfaces and clinical tracking features within the Dovo App.
• API Integration: Connect the frontend application to our secure Node.js backend and external APIs.
• Database Management: Write clear, optimized queries for our PostgreSQL database to manage user profiles, subscription statuses, and lifestyle tracking data.
• Collaboration: Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and debugging sessions to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Mobile Proficiency: Demonstrated experience having built and deployed at least one functional mobile application using React Native.
• Languages: High proficiency in JavaScript.
• Foundational Skills: Solid understanding of building and consuming REST APIs, querying SQL databases, and utilizing Git for version control.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Supabase, Stripe/Paystack integrations, or building basic AI API integrations.
